La vie Greenville

Welcome to Greenville, SC!

There is so much to see, do and eat here in Greenville, sometimes it is hard to know where to get started! We've got two little boys in tow, and so our activities are child friendly, and often within a quick drive of downtown. Here are a few ideas...
The Children's Museum of the Upstate
The Greenville Zoo
The Upcountry History Museum

Search for the Mice on Main
The butterfly garden at Roper Mountain Science Center
The Greenville County Museum of Art
Watch planes at the Aviation Park at GMU airport
Touch a Truck day downtown
The pumpkin patch
Balloons over Anderson
Creating Artists for Tomorrow
Hitch a ride on the downtown trolley
Witness the circus walk
Falls Park on the Reedy River
Paris Mountain State Park
Campbell's Covered Bridge
Check out the West End
Catch a ball game at Fluor Field
Take a ride on the Swamp Rabbit Trail

A few spots are a little further away...
Auldbrass - the Frank Lloyd Wright Plantation
Issaqueena Falls and the Stumphouse Tunnel
Apple picking at Skytop Orchard
Carl Sandburg Home Historic Site

Then there are all the festivals - for example,
Fall for Greenville
Second Saturdays at Roper Mountain Science Center including the Blueberry Festival and Star Wars Reads Day
Spartanburg International Festival
The annual Greek festival
Artisphere
The Enchanted Chalice Renaissance Faire
and the Reedy River Duck Derby

Frequently we find ourselves celebrating all sorts of holidays -
St. Patrick's Day with the annual parade
Halloween with Boo in the Zoo, Enchanted Tracks and a Green Halloween
Christmas with the Roper Mountain Science Center lights, Ice on Main, the Miniature World of Trains Christmas display, the Festival of Trees and the Christmas parade

Last, but not least, all things Southern!
